I walked into the city. No one was out. Scared faces peeked at me through the windows. Then, a shot rang out. A glass bottle next to me exploded into millions of shards. Someone was shooting at me! More shots rang out as I ran. There was a war going on? That's not what I expected! I thought the economy was gone wrong, or something was terrorizing the city, not war! I hid in the alley as three soldiers trooped past. The military was shooting at me? Perhaps they thought I was an enemy. I stayed put until I was sure everyone was gone. I went slowly along alleys until I saw a building that had a sign on it proclaiming, INN. I banged on the door as more shots rang out. A pair of hands opened the door and roughly pulled me in. "What are doing out there?" he asked. "I'm looking for someone to help," I answered. "I'll show you the safe way to get to the mission deck. The military and Cornello's followers don't care about who you are; they shoot at whoever they see. Why don't you spend the night here?" "Thank you," I answered. The man showed me a room and I thumped myself down and slept. Ah, sleep.

When I awoke the next morning, I told the man that I needed to get missions. He said that while I was asleep he himself went and that there were no missions to be taken. I sighed. "I am grateful that you have tried to help the city, but there is nothing you can do. Here, I will take you to the edge of the desert and you can find yourself back to wherever you want to go." He offered. I accepted, and am on my way to the desert now.
