I knew that there was not much for me to study anymore in Central City. I had already packed my bags... I was planning on boarding in East City. Perhaps I would find some missions there...
I bought my ticket and boarded the train. Now, all I had to do was wait to arrive.
A dog howled. I peered grumpily around the train. The dog was- eek- right next to me. Actually, he was right next to the passenger who was right next to me.
"Will you shut that mutt up?" I asked the passenger, irritated. The passenger ignored me.
I decided to do what I did back at the inn at Central City. I fished a pillowcase out of my bags and transmuted it into a pair of earmuffs. Ah, blissful silence.
The passenger kept giving me funny looks the rest of the ride. If it was because I told her to shut her dog up, too bad. It it was because I performed alchelmy right in the open... get used to it. I'm not the only alchemist in the world.
